PUBLICATIONS RESULTING FROM THE AFP GRANT
This site represents a
major experiment in the electronic publication of an international
archaeological project.
Electronic
• As results are produced they are regularly added to the
existing Kerkenes web page.
Traditional
• Kerkenes News 3 - 2000, published by METU Press, contains
the latest results.
• Images and analytical results stemming from these aspects
of the Kerkenes Project continue to be incorporated in papers submitted
to international journals and Turkish publications. A full list
can be found on the Web Site.
Conferences
• A poster was presented at the GIS 2000 conference in Istanbul.
Islem GIS generously granted two invitations to the Kerkenes Project.
Francoise Summers and Koksal Sanli attended the conference.
• Francoise Summers was invited, in December 2000, to a conference
in Paris at the College de France. The paper, entitled: Kerkenes:
Archaeological site and web site, discussed the progress, ongoing
research and publications of the Kerkenes Project.
Thesis
• Nahide
Aydin is using the Kerkenes Project data for her Masters thesis
in the Archaeometry Graduate Programme under the supervision of
Prof. Dr. Vedat Toprak.
