Indentations in the silty clay were made by large falling stones when the wall collapsed, crushing one victim of the destruction. The curved eastern extension of the paving to the corner of the North Tower is at centre. Stones from the tower corner fell onto the steps during the previous winter.
Balçık kumdaki çukurlar, düşen büyük taşlarca oluşturulmuştur ki bu taşlar, yıkımın kurbanlarından birini de ezmiştir. Kuzey Kulesine uzanan döşemenin kavisli doğu uzantısı ortada görülmektedir. Kulenin köşesindeki taşlar, önceki kış basamakların üzerine düşmüştür.
