DESCRIPTION
Silver alloy applique, two-thirds of a circle with a straight top. Embossed decoration, fine holes for attachment to material around the edge. Thin sheet or foil. Decoration comprises three registers divided by beaded lines. The central portion contains a flower with eight petals around a double circle, surrounded by 13 double circles. Above these, at centre top, is a pair of bolsters with sewing holes between and to either side. The bolsters break into a row of 11 triple concentric circles. The same concentric circles, originally 15 in number, fill in next register. The outermost band seems to have contained as many as 20 larger circles with central bosses.
